A considerable number of the supporters of Simeon II National Movement will vote for Petur Stoyanov according to Vesselin Bliznakov, a National Movement deputy floor leader and member of Petur Stoyanov’s pre-election staff. Petur Stoyanov who is tun for second presidential mandate joined the press conference but refused to comment on the first debate of the presidential candidates broadcasted on Bulgarian National Television on October 16. He did not take part in the debate. All he said was that Bulgaria should not be governed with hatred but with love. Stoyanov’s pre-election staff insists that the Central Electoral Commission announce the exact number of the voters in Bulgaria. According to Article 93 of the Constitution, the President is elected in the first round if the candidate gets more than 50% of the votes and if more than 50% of the electorate have participated in the election.
