Terrorism is set to intensify over the next few months according to US overseer Paul Bremer cited by The Times. He also said that "several hundreds" of professional terrorists had sneaked into Iraq. Bremer added that the number of the terrorist attacks would increase because the terrorists can see the reconstruction dynamic in Iraq is moving in the right direction. In his opinion it would be more of a problem in the months ahead unless the intelligence gets better. Bremer also added that he was ready to study the proposal by Iraq's interior minister for a "special force" made up of members of the various Kurdish and Shiite militias, but also - it was "not impossible" - former members of Saddam Hussein's intelligence service.
