UK Tory Leader Lost Confidence Vote

UK Tory leader Iain Duncan Smith failed to win the backing of enough Tory MPs to save his job in a dramatic confidence vote at Westminster. Smith was backed by 75 MPs but opposed by 90, which means the party must now choose a new leader. Nominations for the race to succeed Smith will close on November 6.
