N Korea to Revise Bush's Security Offer

North Korea said that it would consider President Bush's offer of written security assurances in return for dismantling the communist state's nuclear weapons programs. Pyongyang had previously ridiculed Bush's offer as "not worth considering." The change brightened prospects for restarting the six-nation talks to ease tensions in the yearlong standoff over North Korea's nuclear programs, which some experts say could produce several more atomic bombs within months.
