ASSOCIATION OF RECRUITING COMPANIES SET UP

Ten thousand Bulgarians have legal jobs in other countries, according to statistics provided by Bulgaria licensed recruiting companies. Kiryak Tsonev made these figures public at a news conference. Twice as many Bulgarians work abroad illegally. The founders of the new association expect that number to increase in the range of 40,000 to 100,000 during the coming years. At the news conference, the establishment of an association of agencies recruiting Bulgarians for jobs abroad was also announced. 20 of the 25 companies operating in this sector will member the Association. The aim of the new organization is to cooperate with the government and the social partners, to develop proposals for specific projects, sign relevant international agreements, propose changes to the legislation to make this business part of the government policy.
