Computer Space 2003 Int'n'l Forum Kicks Off in Sofia

Bulgaria's President Georgi Parvanov officially opened the fifteenth edition of the international forum for computer arts "Computer Space 2003".

Parvanov greeted all participants in the forum and handed the awards to the winners in the category "Web Design--Community and Institutions".

Bulgaria's Education Minister Igor Damyanov as well as Nikolay Vassilev Transport Minister were among the people that attended the ceremony.

The awarded projects in the five categories of the forum - "Offline multimedia", "Computer animation and digital video", "Electric and computer music", "Computer graphics and digital photography" as well as "Web Design" were announced.

Over 400 projects from 20 different countries took part in the forum. Competent jury elected the winners.

On October 18 the official introduction of the UNESCO's project "Youth creating and communicating on HIV/AIDS" will take place at the forum.
