The story I am going to tell you is typically American: it comes straight from the harsh capitalist reality.

Once upon a time in New York there was this diligent stock exchange servant called Sam. He worked every day from 9 to 5 putting all his energy in his work while during the weekends he watched baseball, drank beer and ate chips. And thus he went on for thirty years...

Till one day he felt truly fed up!

Sam decided to leave his stressful job and bought fifty acres in Vermont's most secluded area as far from human presence as possible. Once a week the postman passed through his place and once every month Sam descended to the town to do his shopping. The rest of the time he spent sitting there all alone and enjoying the quiet.

After almost six months of complete isolation, one night somebody knocked at his door. He opened the door and there before his eyes stood a walloping bearded mountaineer.

"My name's Enoch," the stranger introduced himself. "We're neighbors. I live over there on the other side of the hill. There is a party at home on Saturday so thought I could came over and ask you."

"That's great," Sam retorted. "After six months all by myself I think I'm ready to meet the local people. Thanks a lot!"

Enoch turned his back to go but a sudden thought stopped him: "I gotta tell you there will be a lot of booze at the party."

"No problem. After thirty years of work I am ready to deal with all kinds of alcoholic drinks."
Once again Enoch decided to go but he stopped and added: "It is very likely there will be some fighting!"

"Damn," Sam thought, "Mountaineers are a hell of men!"

"Well I'll manage it somehow. I am sure to come," he said.

Enoch stepped outside but stopped again: "I've happened to see a lot of sex at all these parties!"

"I have nothing against it," Sam admitted, "Don't forget I've been here alone for six months already. I am sure to come. And by the way is the dress of any importance?"

Enoch stopped and spoke once again: "Wear what you like. It'll be just the two of us!"
