`The Bulgarian Government intends to privatize the Bulgartabac holding as a whole entity, not in separate parts, `the Prime Minister and Economy Minister Nikolay Vassilev announced. He explained that it is obligatory to sell 51% of the holding`s capital to one investor while 20% of it will be privatized via the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.Sixteen specially invited investors will attend a meeting of representatives of the Privatization Agency, the Economy Ministry and the former intermediary, Kreditanstalt, on the privatization of Bulgartabac Holding. The meeting will take place on October 10. Serious multinational companies, operating in the sector, bank consortiums and other investors, almost all of which deal with production and sale of cigarettes are among the potential investors.
