SALES CONTRACT PROVIDES 1 000 JOBS AT ARKUS

A sales contract for USD 20 M will provide 1,000 jobs at Lyaskovets-based Arkus AD. Mainly workers made redundant a year and a half ago will be hired for the execution of the contract. The company holds an ISO 9001 quality and management certificate. Its produce is sold all over the world. So far, the company has not been involved in weapon scandals, which makes it a desired business partner. According to Arkus`s CEO, Banko Bankov, the company has repaid its debts to the banks and the staff. Recently the company has remitted a USD 8.8 M old debt. Arkus pays regularly the amounts due to the state and the National Social Security Institute, according to an agreement for rescheduled payment.
