Swedes voted to reject the euro in a referendum, overshadowed by the killing of Foreign Minister Anna Lindh. The "no" camp captured 56.1 percent of votes, against 41.8 for the "yes" camp, the rest blank or invalid votes. "I can now state that the result is clear, very clear," said the leading campaigner for Swedish membership of the European single currency.
