The Consultative Council on National Security, summoned by the Bulgarian President Stoyanov, ended without official statements for the first time during the presidentila mandate of Stoyanov, Info Radio reported. The Council discussed the international situation after the start of the military operation in Afghanistan. The measures to be taken in Bulgaria in the changed circumstances were considered. `US and NATO forces did not use the Bulgarian air space,` `the Bulgarian Foreign Minister Passy told journalists after the meeting. `Bulgaria keeps in touch with the NATO countries all the time,` he added. The Council decided that the Bulgarian Army should not increase its military readiness since there are no grounds for that.
