`If Bulgaria is demanded to provide passage of troops and weapons in connection with the military operation against Afghanistan, Parliament will react accordingly,` a statement of Bulgarian parliament Speaker Ognyan Gerdzhikov reads. `Passage of troops and weapons is to be discussed by Parliament and will be included in the agenda immediately if the question arises,` Gerdzhikov said. He said that a new declaration from Parliament is not necessary. `Bulgaria is prepared to meet the challenges of the present tense time,` Gerdzhikov added. The Parliament speaker said that part of the international public law has to be further developed after the September 11 terrorist attacks in the United States.
