Palestinian suicide bombers blew themselves up at a strip mall in Israel and a bus stop at Jewish West Bank settlement Tuesday, killing two Israelis, shattering a summer of relative calm and raising new doubt about the fate of a shaky Mideast truce. There was no immediate claim of responsibility, but Iranian-funded renegades from Yasser Arafat's Fatah movement have refused to comply with the cease-fire and have carried out several attacks since it was declared by Palestinian militants on June 29. The bombings in the Tel Aviv suburb of Rosh Haayin and the West Bank settlement of Ariel, less than an hour apart, marked the most serious truce violations yet. The first suicide bomber detonated outside a supermarket in Rosh Haayin, killing himself and at least one Israeli. A short time later, an attacker blew himself up at a bus stop near the entrance to Ariel, killing an Israeli and seriously injuring two others. Rescue services identified the dead and injured as teenagers.
