US movie star Kevin Costner, who is aiming to repeat his "Dances with Wolves" success with his new western film "Open Range," was awarded a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. "I've loved taking movies to audiences around the world," he said after the prestigious gong was unveiled on the famed Los Angeles sidewalk. "I was here when I was 18, and I was putting my feet and my hands (in the concrete imprints of movie stars), measuring myself against other men and women who have done this business, and really didn't think too much about it. "So, right there at the last, you realize sometimes your life takes a funny circle. It's a long journey," the 48-year-old star said as he stood next to his bronze-edged star outside the Kodak Theatre, home of the Oscars. The actor, protagonist of films such as "The Untouchables" (1987) and "JFK" (1991), recently announced his engagement to Christine Baumgartner.
