BG BUSINESS CENTER TO BE OPENED IN GERMAN PROVINCE

The Ministry of Economy of the German state of Baden-Wuertemberg will help for the opening of a Bulgarian Business Center in the province. This was announced after the talks between Bulgarian Deputy Economy Minister Ljubka Kachakova and Dr. Horst Merlender, State Secretary at the provincial Economy Ministry. Dr. Merlender is in Bulgaria with a delegation of officials from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the city of Ulm and business people of the province. There is an increased interest among the business circles of Baden-Wuertemberg to establish closer contacts with the Bulgarian companies. The provincial Economy Ministry will help in the establishment of cooperation exchanges and will provide expert assistance to the Export Promotion Center in Sofia.German experts will offer to their Bulgarian colleagues information on the legislation in Baden-Wuertemberg on tourism and small and medium-sized enterprises. Heidelberg Zement, Willy Betz, COMAT and Liebherr are among the German investors in Bulgaria, which are based in Baden-Wuertemberg. Investment from this province is 27.9% of all German investment in Bulgaria in 1992-2000.
