US President George Bush and UK Prime Minister Tony Blair defended the war against Iraq and insisted the decision to topple Saddam Hussein was based on good intelligence after Blair's address to a joint session of the US Congress. Even if we were wrong about weapons of mass destruction, history would forgive the removal of Saddam Hussein, Blair said in his speech. His seven-hour visit was the first stop of a trip to East Asia and came as the two leaders have been linked in the controversy over allegedly inflated pre-war intelligence.
