Sudanese Plane Crash Kills 116

A Sudanese airliner crashed early Tuesday shortly after taking off from Port Sudan airport, killing 105 passengers and 11 crew, international agencies reported. According to Sudan News Agency only a child has survived the crash but it is still not known whether there were foreigners on board. The Boeing 737 was to head for the capital, Khartoum, when it crashed in an empty area near the Port Sudan airport on the Red Sea.
