Deadly tornadoes hit Nebraska for the second day in a row as Nebraska registered its first two tornado fatalities since 1988. The tornado has striken in the northern end of Coleridge late Monday, at least 100 homes and 25 businesses has been severely damaged in Deshler. Experts say Nebraska has fewer tornado deaths than some of its neighbors because it has no more than 1.7 million people spread across 77,000 square miles. Some 52 tornadoes hit it each year, mostly in its central and southern sections, which are not population centers.
