i:FAO, the corporate-side provider of business travel eProcurement software, has completed a process to restructure its complete US-based business. This created substantial costreductions as well as the base for new revenues. A new Operations Center has been installed, in order to be able to quickly grow the business. In the beginning of 2001, i:FAO had locations in San Ramon, California and Dearborn, Michigan, as well as several regional sales offices in the United States.

Total Re-Construction Completed in 2001: Besides the acquisition of the powertrip business from X-tra Online, which added the Dallas, Texas location and also accounts for additional revenues, the Scottsdale, Arizona location has been opened. The new Central Operations Center for cytric and quixdata is now located in Phoenix, Arizona and was formally inaugurated last week. i:FAO offers its customers, in cooperation with Inflow, the central hosting of i:FAO software according to the highest availability and security standards. While opening the offices in Scottsdale and Dallas and relocating the server operations to Phoenix and the business management of the quixdata unit to Dearborn, i:FAO has closed the San Ramon office. Since the beginning of 2001, i:FAO has reduced the headcount of its quixdata unit from 18 to now five. Synergies with other locations have made this possible.

For example, a portion of the software development has been moved to i:FAO Sofia, Bulgaria. By closing the San Ramon location, i:FAO generates substantial cost reductions which will be effective in the fourth quarter of 2001.
