`The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry will most probably give to the US Embassy in Bulgaria a note that Bulgaria grants to the United States an air corridor for non military flights on September 26, ` the Bulgarian Foreign Minister Passy announced after the meeting of the Consultative Council on National Security, quoted by Info Radio. The demand for the air corridor was made on September 24 in the evening. President Stoyanov was immediately notified for that. At the Consultative Council, an expert position from the Foreign Ministry was presented. The airplanes that will be granted access to the Bulgarian air space are transporting ones or helicopters. The aircraft will fly to, over or through Bulgaria, coming from Western Europe or the United States. Since these flights are non-military, the Bulgarian Parliament should not approve the decision of the government. The United States also demanded access to the Romanian air space. The members of the Consultative Council on National Security (CCNS) and President Stoyanov will recommend to the Foreign Ministry to reply positively to the request. The national security concept and the military doctrine need to be updated and the CCNS will propose to the Parliament to form a working group for this purpose, President Stoyanov said.`There is no doubt that after the assaults in New York and Washington, the international situation will change and the terrorist attack will attract the attention since it triggers changes in the conceptions for regional and global security,` President Stoyanov said in the beginning of the first meeting of the Consultative Council since the start of the new Parliament.
