`A potential foreign investor told me on the telephone that the bribe from the Economy Ministry representative amounted to BGN 2 M instead the BGN 200,000 sum that I announced,` Economy Minister Vassilev said at a press conference, commenting on the deal cancelled from a potential foreign investor. According to him, the `corruption schema` on the deal started after informal conversations with people who presented themselves as jurists of the Government. Vassilev said that there are still not enough proofs to file the case in Court. `The Bulgarian Deputy Minister Ljubka Kachakova asked me not to be paid from the three Boards of Directors in which she participates,` Economy Minister Nikolay Vassilev told the journalists. He still did not answer her request. The Minister clarified that it is an exception that Kachakova participates in three Board of Directors. The rule is that a representative of the Economy Ministry can member one company`s Board of Directors. As for the Deputy Ministers they can be members of two to three Board of Directors.
