Cuban Hijacking Ends

The Cuban authorities say they have gained control of a ferry which was hijacked on Wednesday and released the 50 passengers being held hostage. It is not clear what has happened to at least three armed men who had threatened to kill hostages unless the vessel was re-fuelled and allowed to sail for the United States. The authorities had warned that they would use force to end the crisis if negotiations failed but it is not yet known how they eventually resolved the situation.
