Erdogan Presented New Government

New Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has presented his new cabinet to the country's President, Ahmet Necdet Sezer. Sezer's approval for the new team paves the way for a vote on the government's programme in parliament. The outgoing prime minister, Abdullah Gul, has been given the posts of foreign minister and deputy prime minister. Erdogan had said earlier that he would not present the cabinet and it is not clear why his plans changed.
