Malta Votes in EU Poll

Malta has begun to vote in a referendum on joining EU. It is the first of nine countries holding referendums on joining EU next year. The final opinion polls conducted before the vote show a slim majority in favor, but many people are still undecided. The government has lobbied hard for a Yes vote, which it says is vital for the economy and international credibility of the state.
