Czech President Sworn In

The former Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Vaclav Klaus, has been inaugurated as the country's new president. Mr Klaus, 61, succeeds his long-time rival, Vaclav Havel, the man who led the country for 13 years after the fall of Communism. After taking the oath at an ornate ceremony in Prague Castle, he was welcomed into office by a 21-gun salute.
