A co-operation agreement on tourism in the Altai region is going to be signed. This was stated by Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova during her talks with Pavel Vladimirovich Dityatev - President of the Altai Government and Minister of Economic Development, and Evgenyi Vitalyevich Deshevich, Head of the Tourism and Resort Development Department, announced the Ministry of Tourism.
They met during the working visit of the Bulgarian Minister in Russia during the International Tourism Exchange Intruder Market 2019. Negotiations and details of the document are currently being negotiated.
There is also work on organizing a forum focused on health tourism, Minister Angelkova said. This is a sphere in which we can very actively partner with the Altai region. Russian tourists most often visit Bulgaria in the summer and mainly on the sea, but our country is also known for its cultural and historical and winter tourism. The Minister also pointed out that joint cultural and historical routes could be developed to help increase travel.
Representatives of the Altai region said they had an interest in investing in tourism in Bulgaria. They pointed out that they are familiar with our rich culture and the many historical monuments that are protected by UNESCO.
