Biathlonist Dafovska Gains Comfortable World Cup Lead

Former Olympic champion Ekaterina Dafovska widened her lead in the overall World Cup competition by finishing 3rd in women's 12.5km mass start in Finland's Lahti.

The third place came after Dafovska made her worst performance this season. She finished 22nd in the 7.5km sprint on Saturday.

After fourteen starts, the Bulgarian is 58 points ahead of her main competitor Sylvie Becaert of France (463) in the World Cup Competition.
