Bulgaria: The Bulgarian Branch of Lidl Introduces New Kielbasa and Sausage Standards

The Bulgarian division of the German company Lidl introduces new higher standards for the quality of the sausage from their own brand that they offer. All sausages from the Pikok, Baroni and Dulano brands, as well as from the "Rodna Stryha" product line, are now produced without the use of mechanically separated meat, which reduces the use of improvers and thickeners, the company said.

The chain also expands the Clean Label series, which includes meat products in a completely clean recipe without artificial additives, which is an innovation for the Bulgarian market, the company said.

"One of our goals is to continuously expand the range towards offering even higher quality products in clean, high-standard recipes," commented Milena Dragiyska, Chief Executive Officer of Lidl Bulgaria.

All products of the series - spice salami, ham and bacon are made by Bulgarian producers, the company said.
