Bulgaria's Dafovska Still Leader for Biathlon World Cup

Former Olympic champion Ekaterina Dafovska of Bulgaria continues to lead in the overall World Cup competition after she finished 13th in Women's 12.5km Mass Start in Antholz. Albina Akhatova of Russia became winner in the Mass Start ahead of France's Sylvie Becaert and Corinne Niogret.

Several days earlier Dafovska secured a steady lead in the overall World Cup competition as she roared to her fourth World Cup win of the season in the 15km individual biathlon in Antholz.

Thus Dafovska has 469 points World Cup Competition and a comfortable lead over Sylvie Becaert of France who secured 427. Other Bulgarians rank as follows: Pavlina Filipova (152,27), Irina Nikulchina (93,50), Nina Kadeva (5,52), Iva Karagyozova (6), Radka Popova (5).

Ukraine's Andriy Deryzemlya claimed men's 15km mass start at Antholz. Russia's Pavel Rostovtsev finished 2nd and Germany's Ricco Gross 3rd.
