Bulgaria's Dafovska Roars to 4th Biathlon World Cup Win

Former Olympic champion Ekaterina Dafovska of Bulgaria secured a steady lead in the overall World Cup competition after her victory in the 15km individual biathlon in Antholz January 23.

This is the fourth World Cup win of the season for Dafovska (43 minutes 37.6 seconds). France's Sandrine Bailly (29.1s) and Linda Tjorhom of Norway (34.9s) completed the podium. Svetlana Tchenoousova of Russia (39.4s) and Albina Akhatova of Russia (1min 06.1s) finished fourth and fifth respectively.

Dafovska won her third victory this season on January 19 securing the first place in the 10 km World Cup sprint event in Ruhpolding, Germany.

Other Bulgarians rank as follows: Pavlina Filipova (137,26), Irina Nikulchina (81,49), Nina Kadeva (6,50), Iva Karagyozova (6,51), Radka Popova (5).
