The tiniest book in Bulgaria is a 150-page Koran, sized 15 by 17 millimetres. The miniature copy of Islam's Holy Book is owned by the district library in Northern city Montana.
Former teacher Tsvyatko Shoshinski, 80, presented the library with the unique book. He received the Koran as a present in 1975. A Muslim pupil gave it to Shoshinski when he was teaching in the village of Stefan Karadja near coastal city Varna. The boy said he inherited the miniature from his grandfather who had bought it in Mecca.
This Koran is now to be sent to the national Library in Sofia for expert examination.
