ETA Threatens to Attack Tourism Sites

The Basque separatist organisation ETA has threatened new terror attacks against tourism centres in Spain. A statement called tourist facilities legitimate targets. ETA has sent letters with the warning to foreign embassies and tourism operators. The Spanish justice ministry dismissed the threat as scaremongering. The government approved a new law raising the highest sentence for terrorism from 30 to 40 years jail. Parliament is expected to pass it.
