Bulgaria: Talks on Forming Bulgaria's Government To Continue BGNES

Talks on forming a government with the mandate of the Reformist Bloc will continue on Monday.

This became clear after the meeting in Parliament on Friday between representatives of GERB, the Patriotic Front and the Reformist Bloc.

Outgoing Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said on Thursday that he would support a cabinet of the Reformist Bloc if deputies accept the proposal for a majoritarian system.

However, Kostadin Markov and Nayden Zelenogorski from the Reformist Bloc, as well as the co-chairman of the Patriotic Front – Krasimir Karakachanov – expressed their disagreement with the proposal for a majoritarian system as envisaged in the referendum.

GERB, PF and RB discussed in Parliament the issues on which they have to reach an agreement in order for RB to receive support to form a government.
