Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov has said his conservative GERB party will not participate in any cabinet made after the early election unless it emerges it gets the biggest share of the vote.
In an address to party members dedicated to GERB's ten-year anniversary, cited by Focus News Agency, Borisov has vowed to put forth all effort to pursue an "innovative economy, a prosperous, stable, modern Bulgaria with a strong, healthy and educated civil society."
"We will reconsider our priorities and as always upto this moment, GERB will offer a clear governance program" for the next election, the head of state, whose party is by far the largest in the current Parliament, has said.
Borisov stepped down last month, triggering efforts to set up a new cabinet out of the current legislature and, in case they fail, an early general election. On Friday, he returned the mandate handed to him by President Rosen Plevneliev.
A snap election is not due before the end of March.
