Bulgaria reported record revenues in tourism - over BGN 5.5B from January to October, or 14.7% more than the same period of 2015, announced the outgoing Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova, during the International Congress on World Civilizations and Modern Tourism, held in Sofia.

''We are in the ''top three'', having a wealth of artefacts in Europe- over 40 000 found on our territory. With our cultural heritage we can impress our guests and tourists'', said Angelkova to the participants in the Forum, which includes delegations from 40 countries.

''We are here today to say that the most serious deficits are associated with tolerance and understanding, and tourism and travel, in general, help to make the world better place'', said the current Secretary - General of the United Nations' World Tourism Organization Taleb Rifai
