Bulgaria: Hungary Launches Construction of Second Border Fence BGNES

Hungary has started building an “intelligent” fence equipped with heat sensors and night-vision cameras along its border with Serbia.

The attempt is to control the possible attempts of migrants to enter Hungarian territory, reported AFP.

PM Viktor Orban declared at the beginning of August that such a fence will be built in order to reinforce the 175-km fence which was built last year.

The new fence will be 3 metres high. The initial 10.3-km section of the wall has already been constructed.

Hungary must increase the security of its borders due to the possibility that the agreement on limiting migration signed between the EU and Turkey might be dropped, explained Orban.
