Bulgaria: British PM: Brexit Is Going on Schedule BGNES

British Prime Minister Theresa May has assured that the preparation of Brexit is going on schedule and that the legal process will begin by the end of March 2017.

“The preparation is ongoing and we are ready to start the procedure under Art.50 of the EU Treaty by the end of March 2017,” stated Theresa May during a joint press conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

“We want the Brexit process to proceed smoothly, to work on a solution which is in the interests of Great Britain but also in the interests of our European partners,” added May.

On her part, Merkel stated that it will not be possible for Brexit to be discussed in detail during their meeting since Britain has not launched officially the process of leaving the EU.

A few days ago, a document of a consultancy firm working with the cabinet was leaked to the media. The document described chaos within the government.

May is attempting to govern on the key issues of Brexit alone, while her senior ministers are divided and the state administration is in crisis.”
