Islamic State Threatens Champions League Quarter-Finals with Terrorist Attacks
The terrorist group known as the "Islamic State" has issued a threat against the upcoming quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Kosovo police have said nineteen people have been arrested across the country on suspicions of links to the Islamic State (IS) group and plans to carry out terrorist attacks.
The detainees supposedly sought to act in both Kosovo and Albania, the Bulgarian National Radio quotes officials as saying.
Weapons, munitions, explosives, and a drone were found and seized during the police operation.
Allegedly, instructions were handed by a self-proclaimed commander of Albanians in Syria and Iraq. Plans included an attack on the Israeli national football team during its game with Albania last week.
