The new political project of Radan Kanev will seek the support of the voters from the right spectrum who voted for Rumen Radev. Тhis was announced by Atanas Atanasov - member of Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB) during an interview on private Nova TV.

He also said that the negative vote against the Prime Minister Boyko Borisov has shown how disappointed the Bulgarians are after his policies during the last few years. The result is over 20% difference between Tsetska Tsacheva, the candidate of main ruling GERB party, and Radev after the second round of the Presidential Elections in Bulgaria.

According to him, the convening of the Grand National Assembly is more than necessary. “Through it, we can make the constitutional changes which will be a result of the introduction of the majority voting system, which won great support of the referendum last week”.

“The majority system will make the policy more dependent on suspicious subjects, however, there should be some change,” said Atanasov.

He accused the PM of being responsible for the future political crisis.

In an earlier interview with Nova TV, Radan Kanev commented that Borisov “rejected all the outstreched hands for the presidential elections. Otherwise the choice he made for Tseska Tsacheva would have been different.”

In his words, after he won the parliament elections, he put the party before the people and all his actions were dictated by his desire to achieve “one-party regime”, which in Bulgaria is impossible, people will not allow this kind of system.

“My advice to BSP [the Bulgarian Socialist Party] is to not allow the mistake of Borisov - to put their party before the people and to stop thinking that winning the presidential elections with such a result, means that they will win the future parliament elections.

Kanev reported during a National Assembly session that the agreement with the RB is already consumed and DSB now is outside the Bloc. In his words the move is a consequence of a serious disagreement with the other parties and after a year of patience there is no way back.
