Tsetska Tsacheva and Rumen Radev, the two presidential candidates who made it to the runoff due this weekend, will clash in a televised debate on Sunday.

The two will face each other on the Bulgarian National Television on Thursday, November 10, at 20:30.

Extended by Tsacheva, the invitation comes after the two had been accused for weeks of boycotting debates that involved other contenders.

It also comes on a date symbolic for Bulgaria's history as November 10, 1989 marked the demise of totalitarian rule under which the country had been placed during the Cold War.

Tsacheva, the candidate of main ruling party, center-right GERB, accuses socialist-backed Radev of being "close to Russia" and warns Bulgaria may return to the stage it was in during the 1990, uncertain about its Euro-Atlanticist path. Radev denies this.
