Bulgaria: EUR 600 M for SMEs in Bulgaria Allocated Under Juncker Investment Plan BGNES

The Head of the European Commission Representation in Bulgaria Ognyan Zlatev announced that an additional EUR 600 M in credit have been provided for small and medium-size enterprises in Bulgaria under a joint project of the European Union, the Bulgarian government and the European Investment Bank.

“Bulgaria ranks 6th among countries in the EU in terms of projected and supported investments under the Juncker investment plan GDP-wise. In terms of conditions created for small and medium-size enterprises, our country has moved ahead to the 3rd position among EU countries. Bulgaria needs serious entrepreneurs who can develop innovative businesses, achieve high rates of growth aimed at international markets. Thanks to the guarantees provided by the EU, the risk for banks is lower and small and medium-size enterprises gain broader access to financing at better terms like lower interest rates.”
