A second law suit has been filed with the Court of Justice in Luxembourg against the transfer of personal data between the EU and the USA, reported Reuters.
It was filed by three French privacy organisations about a month after Irish Digital Rights Ireland requested that the Privacy Shield agreement be annulled.
Privacy Shield was drafted after the European Court annulled the previous Safe Harbour agreement.
Then, the court ruled that the old treaty violates European rules according to which data of European citizens may be transferred only to countries with the same or higher level of data protection.
According to magistrates, Washington did not guarantee sufficiently that state institutions would not have access to the personal data of Europeans.
