Bulgaria: 'To Be General in Skirt Looks Funnier to Me' - Bulgaria's PM File photo, BGNES

"You are asking if Ms Tsacheva is Borisov dressed in a skirt? I have never put a skirt on, I don't know how I would look [if I wore one.] To be a general in a skirt, however, looks much funnier to me."

Bulgaria's Prime Minister Boyko Borisov replying to comments of opposition-backed presidential candidate Maj Gen Rumen Radev.

Last Sunday the latter, a former Air Force Commander, called the nominee of GERB, Parliament Speaker Tsetska Tsacheva, "Borisov dressed up in a skirt and wearing glasses."

It is not clear whether Borisov, who was conferred the rank of Lieutenant General (theoretically superior to Radev), was referring to himself in a skirt or to Radev, whom he sees as a political figure backing the socialists and their female leader, Korneliya Ninova.
