Bulgaria: Turkey Demands EU Fulfil Its Promise for Visa-Free Regime by End of 2016 BGNES

The European Union must honour its promise to introduce a visa-free regime with Turkey by the end of the year, said a high-ranking Turkish official cited by Reuters.

The promise is a key element of the agreement to stop the flow of migrants from Turkey to Europe.

According to the same source, the Turkish army may remain on Syrian territory for years to come, if this proves necessary. The next target of the operation which began a month ago with the taking of Jarablus is the city of al-Bab in Northern Syria. It is still under the control of IS.

The Turkish official warned that the USA will provoke an ethnic conflict if they use their Kurdish allies for the liberation of the Syrian city of Raqqa. Raqqa is the center of jihadists in Syria.
