Turkey has already built a 200-km-long wall by the border with Syria and will put up the rest within five months, a Turkish daily says.
Pro-government daily Star quotes a Turkish official familiar with the project as assuring construction will be completed by the end of February.
Expenses for the wall will be covered by Turkey alone.
The deadline, however, may vary depending on winter conditions. The presence of mined fields complicates the situation, according to H?rriyet Daily News.
The wall will be up to three meters tall and about two meters thick.
Construction began in light of the migratory pressure from Syria, smuggling, and possible entry of members of Islamic State (IS) or other groups.
