Bulgaria: Sofia Municipality To Pay Over BGN 700,000 for Update of City Mobility Plan

Sofia Municipality will provide over BGN 700,000 for an update of the city mobility plan adopted in 2011.

This became clear from the public procurement order announced by Deputy Mayor for transport Evgeni Krusev.

The winner of the public procurement order will have to upgrade the existing transport model of the city. The new document will cover the period 2016-2035 and specify directions for sustainable development of mobility, as well as the options for applying for funding from European programmes.

The firm will have to study the current transport situation in the city and analyse current data on passengers which will be provided by the municipality. The state of the transport infrastructure in the city must be surveyed, as well as the effect of paid parking zones.

The deadline for offers has been extended to the end of September.
