Bulgaria: Tsvetanov Calls On Reformist Bloc To Withdraw Sofia District Governor

The Vice Chairman of GERB and leader of the parliamentary group  of the party, Tsvetan Tsevatanov has called on the Reformist Bloc to withdraw Sofia District Governor Veselin Penev because of the Tsarski konyushni (Royal stables) deal. Tsvetanov made a statement to the media in Parliament, together with the chief of the legal commission, Danail Kirilov. Kirilov, as former district governor, provided data concerning the deal.

Prime Minister Borissov has ordered a check of the Tsarski konyushni deal to be carried out by the Sofia District Administration. Borissov has ordered the General Inspectorate to check, as quickly as possible, whether the stipulations of the State Property Act have been met with respect to the deal.

Two months ago, the Sofia District Governor sold Tsarski Konyushni  - 7 1/2 decares in the Oborishte area – for BGN 658,870 (BGN 90/sq m). The fact was revealed by BSP leader Korneliya Ninova yesterday.
