On the border with Turkey, the queue of vehicles entering into Bulgaria measured three kilometers at Kapitan Andreevo checkpoint, while the queue of trucks at Lesovo checkpoint reached two kilometers.

Border police informs that the traffic of cars entering Bulgaria is heightened on the border with Turkey.

There is also heavy car traffic on the Bulgarian-Romanian border at the Danube bridge checkpoint in Ruse.

The queue of trucks there reached one kilometre, while there was even heavier traffic at Danube bridge 2 in Vidin where the queue measured two kilometers.

The queues of vehicles waiting to cross into Greece are kilometre-long at Kulata and Makaza checkpoints on the Bulgarian-Greek border.

Long queues also formed at the checkpoints on the border with Greece on Saturday when a lot of Bulgarians embarked on trips for the long weekend which will last for four days until Tuesday.

At some point the queue at Kulata checkpoint measured between ten and twenty kilometers, while that at Makaza checkpoint reached four kilometers.

Speaking to journalists on Sunday, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said that 80 000 people passed through Kulata checkpoint on Saturday alone.
