North Korea Repairs Controversial Yongbyon Site

North Korea has started repairing a nuclear reactor at the controversial Yongbyon site, according to South Korean government officials. Tuesday's move comes despite warnings by the United States that it would not be forced back to the negotiating table by nuclear "blackmail". The reactor was closed down in 1994 as part of an American-led deal to try to halt Pyongyang's alleged nuclear programme - but earlier this month North Korea said it would reactivate it. On Sunday, the North Korean Government said it had started dismantling United Nations surveillance devices at Yongbyon.
