French citizen Mourad Hamyd will be turned over to the French authorities in accordance with the European arrest warrant issued on 29 July 2016.

Until the date of his extradition, Hamyd will be held in guarded custody. The decision of the Bulgarian court is final and cannot be appealed.

The initial reason for the arrest has been stated to be "participation in an organized criminal group, involved in the preparation of terrorist acts". The French authorities will also receive all things that Hamid carried with himself at the time of the arrest.
